The Embassy of Brazil/LACCS-UK Celebration of 35 Anniversary of
Brazilian Music was a great diplomatic, artistic and cultural success,
attended by many Heads of Mission, Charge d' Affaires, Diplomats,
friends of the Brazilian Embassy, LACCS-UK, guests from the private
sector and general public. The Heads of Mission who who attended
were Their Excellencies Ambassador of Russian Federation, Kingdom
of Morocco, Armenia, Uzbekistan, Iraq, Paraguay, Georgia, Honduras,
Tajikistan, Kingdom of Tonga, Slovak Republic, Turkmenistan and
representatives of Chile, Slovenia, the Philippines, Laos, Ukraine,
Latvia, Turkey, Mexico, Peru, Bolivia, El Salvador, Poland, People's
Republic of China, Tunisia, Algeria, Belarus, and many others.

Professor J R Monroy, Hon. Chair LACCS-UK opened the evening on the stage of the Purcell Room, at the Queen Elizabeth Hall
explaining why LACCS-UK is Celebrating 35th Anniversary of
Brazilian Music by Carlos Barbosa-Lima and mentioning that
LACCS-UK is an independent and non-profitable organisation,
its motto is "To contribute to a Better Cultural Understanding
Amongst All Nations Accredited at the Court of St. James's". Professor Monroy, introduced to the Heads of Mission, Charge
d' Affaires, Diplomats, guests of the private sector, friends and
general public to H.E. Mr Eduardo Dos Santos, Ambassador of
Brazil to the United Kingdom. |

H.E. Mr Eduardo Dos Santos addressed the audience with an
brief speech, mentioning the relevance of the Music of
Brazil and the participation of CBL at the Purcell Room.
His Excellency Ambassador Eduardo Dos Santos, is very
grateful for LACCS-UK in organising the Celebration of
Brazilian Music at the Southbank Centre. Ambassador
Eduardo Dos Santos gave an especial credit to Prof. J R
Monroy for his personal involvement in this magnificent
Celebration of Brazilian music at the Purcell Room. |
